A ductless heat pump / air conditioner consists of a wall-mounted indoor unit combined with an outside compressor unit. It’s often used in a situation where a window air conditioner unit or baseboard heater would be not recommended to be used. Heat pump units provide air conditioning by reversing the flow of the refrigerant between the indoor and outdoor units.
